Frank Wania
Frank Wania is a professor with cross appointments in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry at the University of Toronto. He is the leader of an environmental chemistry research group in the Department of Physical and Environmental Sciences at the University of Toronto Scarborough. His research is concerned with understanding and quantifying the fate and behavior of chemicals in the environment. The focus is on phase partitioning and transport of organic contaminants. Frank is the recipient of the 2015 Environment Division Research and Development Dima Award of the Chemical Institute of Canada, which is presented for distinguished contributions to research and/or development in the fields of environmental chemistry or environmental chemical engineering.
Frank is the chair of editorial board of Environmental Science: Processes & Impacts, formerly the Journal of Environmental Monitoring. He has published more than 250 peer reviewed articles, with a h-index = 65. Since January 2014, he and his group have published over 20 peer-reviewed articles in scientific journals.
